Paul Koh Toggle Key Switch

December 8, 2009

I had seen these light switch plates awhile ago but I don’t believe they were actually on sale then. Now Bobby Berk Home is selling them.

However, every light switch near an entry in my house has more than one switch. Hopefully they come out with a multi one soon.

Rain Barrel

July 3, 2008

My garden is no where near my hose, so I thought something like this Rain Barrel from Smith and Hawken would be perfect to set down by the garden and also save on water at the same time. Crafted from high-density polypropylene, this barrel catches and keeps 60 gallons of rain water close at hand for watering chores.

Wall Straps

May 23, 2008

These would be a fun way to hold kids toys and what-not…or a bright storage idea for a entry/mudroom.

These wall straps can be used to hold things right against the wall. The further apart you place the two end screws, the more tension on the strap and the tighter the hold.

Produce Design

May 16, 2008

I just love this Suture Bench with storage by Produce Design…. with oxidized ash and carbon steel handles and sutures.

They also make a really cool pot and pan rack.

A reclaimed beam is milled for a magnetic knife holder and fins that hang pots below. Trays in the top accommodate the knife magnet, lid storage, and spice storage and display.

XX File Holder

May 6, 2008

I usually like everything hidden but there’s something about this XX File Holder that has caught my eye.

The XX from Magis is a stackable file holder. Available in blue or white with anodized aluminum connection tubes.

This bench is also a coffee table, a storage unit, and a shelf. Solid pine frame houses three drawers to conveniently store anything from gloves and scarves to DVDs, plus a roomy and decorative shelf to store smaller items within easy reach. Moveable bent tray slides horizontally or can be removed completely.

Yet

April 28, 2008

The modular wall holder Yet is a wall lamp with special features. The ends of two or more Yets touch in a way that creates a kind of shelf-object. This lamp’s construction can carry a small load of accessories or a couple of books.

Darumina Canister

April 24, 2008

I currently hide my canisters away in a cabinet because they are your run of the mill, ugly plastic containers. These however, I would let grace my counters…

The canisters were designed in 1967 by Sergio Asti. He originally designed it as a table lamp. The beautiful Darumina canister has a beautiful organic shape with rounded edges. It is made of high quality Japanese porcelain.

Intermittent Seating

April 2, 2008

I’ve been looking for intermittent seating for awhile now, something that could perhaps double as storage when not in use. I recently found this small storage stool

but on the same site I also found this inflatable stool/ottoman which doesn’t provide storage but might be nice because you could deflate it and hide it away entirely when not in use.

this inflatable one is only $24.95 and comes with a pump and the cotton cover is washable.

Magazine Rack Bench

April 1, 2008

I think I mentioned before that I really like objects that have a dual function, which is why I like the Magazine Rack Bench. I especially like the grove detail at the back of the seat to store the book your currently reading.

Bossa Bed

March 21, 2008

at the beginning of the month I posted about the Flou Bed, a bed that lifted up and had storage beneath it and cost $4,724. Well I just found a bed from EQ3 which looks to be pretty much the same thing for only $999….so if the Flou was out of your budget here’s the Bossa Bed
