Lighthouse Ball

December 1, 2009

The Lighthouse Ball is available as a tea light holder or outdoor oil lamp, in glossy black or white porcelain.

I really like these… yet when I look at the outdoor oil lamp I want it to be really large, like at least 24″ round for use as a modern fire pit. oh well.

Oil Lamp Sticks

September 12, 2008

I just saw these oil lamp sticks by Duo Design Holland over at NotCot, “the design is much like a metal straw with a wick inside which soaks up the oil”.

Yet

April 28, 2008

The modular wall holder Yet is a wall lamp with special features. The ends of two or more Yets touch in a way that creates a kind of shelf-object. This lamp’s construction can carry a small load of accessories or a couple of books.

There is just something about the way the light seems to reflect off of the glass drops on Ochre’s Artic Pear table lamp that really has me smitten…

The Block Table lamp has a gorgeous brown coneshaped mangowood foot. These lamps are made by hand hence no lamps are alike.

Aer Lights

March 15, 2008

“The pattern in which the clay is formed explores a way to create gaps and spaces in the surface for the light to spread through as well as for the viewer to explore the interior space of luminiare; the void which the light occupies as it clings to the clay surface like a warm liquid. And when the luminaire is not lit, ambient light plays across the clay with subtle colour and shadow; the luminaire is never dark within.” Photobucket

Loop

March 12, 2008

My co-worker has told me how I need to have an incandescent light  at my desk, since it’s better for my eyes than the fluorscent that are above me now. But I refuse to put one of those ugly clip on lights we have here at the office…

now if we had an incandescent that looked like this concept design by the Norwegian group Trokk16 then maybe my poor eyes would get a break….
