Dining Room

March 31, 2008

I want a new dining room set. Something somewhat modern yet not too much so that it wouldn’t fit with my traditional house. This might do…. but I’ll probably look for a different table…not sure how I feel about the sunken centerpiece detail on this one.

Hugo Daybed

March 28, 2008

I absolutely love Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. Here’s an “inspired by” that’s more easy on the wallet than the real deal and the only visible difference is a slightly different shape to the pillow.

Spirograph Log Basket

March 12, 2008

So I’ve been thinking about getting a wood stove to supplement  heating my house, and I was thinking about where I would store the wood till I used it.

I found this but have no idea where to purchase it….

Space Corner

March 6, 2008

I don’t love my kitchen but it’s fine. To the degree that I’ll probably never put the money into redoing it, but it’s really not my taste. However, when I see all the wonderful storage options they have for kitchens now I really wish I could redo mine. Take for example this space corner drawer….

Coin Pouch

February 29, 2008

I’m thinking how I need a change purse. I’m sick of having to take out everything to find my change on the bottom of my purse. I saw this one awhile back that I like but now I don’t remember where it was from…

Squeeze Bottle

February 29, 2008

I thought this was a wonderful alternative to having to sit out those ugly ketchup and mustard bottles when your have a cookout or what not….

Photobucket

Ketchup, mustard and other condiments get a new look with Arian Brekveld’s Squeeze Bottle. Crafted from stainless steel on the top half and squeezable plastic on the bottom, the Squeeze Bottle has a removable stainless steel cap, which lets you shake up vinaigrettes or other dressings with no mess.

“Solid Poetry” tiles

February 26, 2008

I would love to have my patio made out of these tiles. The design appears when the tiles get wet. However, they don’t list a price and you have to email the guy and that’s always a good indicator that they’ll be too much.

Doorknob Organizer

February 20, 2008

I just saw this wonderful little organizer at apartmenttherapy  Right now my mail and keys get thrown on the counter into messy piles. Doesn’t seem like it would be to difficult to make if you can sew, or have a mother who does like me….

Trash Ties

February 19, 2008

TRASH TIES are a quick and fun way to tie your hair back.

Most simply, a Standard TRASH TIE may be worn as a barrette.

For up-dos, simply fish the folded tie through the hair next to your head and through or around the hair you’d like to hold in place.  Cross the ends over securely and voila!  The action is much like inserting a big ol’ bobby pin, but because the ends get crossed tightly over your hair, TRASH TIES won’t slip out like bobby pins can.

Stealthswitch

February 18, 2008

If I wasn’t doing just fine with my total slacking off, I’d have to get myself one of these….

Photobucket

Quickly install the software and plug the hidden foot switch in (it goes either between the keyboard and your computer, or just into an available USB port) and you are safe. It hides in the shadows and just a light tap of your toes will let it work its magic. Based on your preferences, it can hide the current window, hide all windows, or hide all windows except for specified windows. Not just minimize, mind you, but totally erase from your screen. The Stealth Switch can also mute the sound, hide the taskbar, hide the desktop icons, and password protect the restore function. When the coast is clear, another quick tap and you are ready to frag in peace.
